An apple a day = 23.6bn apples/year for the UK population

A US farm showing off their monster machines harvesting apples.

Think on it: If everyone in the UK ate an apple a day, that’d be a mere 23.9 billion apples per year.

(So five a day for each of us 65.5M people means it take nigh on 120 billion fruit and veg servings per year.)
