On 3rd July, I gave a talk to the Harborne and Edgbaston University of the Third Age (U3A). It was on global and local food security.
As you might expect if you’ve had a wander around this website, the picture I gave wasn’t the most reassuring.
What can we do about it? Yup, there were some pointers in there:
- Drink mostly tap water
- Eat food. Not a lot. Mostly plants (Michael Pollan’s words)
- Don’t fly unless you must
AND, particularly relevant for those of us who don’t have a career to lose:
- Speak truth to power . . .
The presentation, along with notes are now in a PDF file which you can find here.
