Most people have little understanding of the huge quantities of food that a population needs every day — let alone every year.
Nor do they understand what the many millions of organisations involved do in getting food to us.
But in talking about sufficient supplies for populations, having an understanding of these two matters is crucial.
So I separated these two matters out into two mini-sessions within my talk, as recounted in the next two blogposts:
